Paul Flournoy

The Forney Bass Club held its first tournament of the year on January 15 at Brandy Branch. There were fifteen teams that competed with 32 fish being weighed in for a total of 74.05 pounds.

The team of David Choate and Andy Choate tied with Paul Flournoy and Dewayne Elery for first place. Both teams had five fish limits that weighed 12.5 pounds. Kevin Herbert took third place with four fish weighing 10.65 pounds. Fourth place went to Ron Sparks and Maggie Garrett who weighed in five fish for 10.45 pounds. The big bass awards went to Floyd Slocum for his 5.5 pound fish and John Wendell for his 4.3 pound fish.

Our season is just getting started and it is not too late to join with us for some fishing and fun. We have moved our meeting location to the Main Forney Fire Department. Our next meeting is Tuesday February 15^th at 7:00 p.m. We will be fishing the following Saturday at Martin Creek a hot water lake.
